Summary
Over five years, MECSOL has become the only supplier plants need for the full life cycle of their lifting infrastructure. We have run dozens of projects for manufacturers across northern Mexico — from relocating a 40-ton bridge crane to runway leveling, equipment supply and variable frequency drive configuration.
The problem
Lifting infrastructure is the logistical backbone of an industrial plant. When operations need cranes installed, relocated or maintained, splitting that work across different contractors creates risk that is hard to justify. One company for the structural erection, another for runway squaring and a third for the VFD configuration usually ends in alignment problems, premature wheel wear, extended downtime and safety exposure on the lift. What plant management needs is one supplier with the technical range to own the whole life cycle: foundation and plumbing at one end, rope replacement and span adjustment at the other.
What MECSOL did
MECSOL takes control of the structural, mechanical and electrical work on lifting systems. Working continuously for multiple customers in the north of the country and nationally, our specialists hold the same standard at every stage.
We are not just moving steel — we are guaranteeing the geometry of the system. On a relocation, our people handle everything from safe disconnection of the electrical bus to grouting and leveling on the new bases. We also run the critical maintenance: replacing wire rope under tension, squaring runways that have drifted, and integrating electrical control programming across a range of capacities — all under one contract and one point of responsibility.
Scope executed
- Volume: dozens of documented services between 2019 and 2023 for manufacturing plants in northern Mexico.
- Complete structural relocation: teardown, transport and reinstallation of a 40-ton PROSIMEC crane at the Bemis plant (DK Ramos / AMISA). The job included plumbing 12 columns, grouting, leveling 10 runway beams, a double box girder bridge, and reconnecting the conductor bus 20 feet up.
- Precision alignment: critical leveling, alignment and squaring work on runways and runway beams for cranes D, E and F at Mex Steel.
- Major maintenance and parts: wire rope replacement on 60/10-ton cranes and pendant trolley (Forja de Monterrey) and 11 mm wire rope (Aztek). Corrective maintenance on 25-ton (Metálicos Mayran) and 30-ton units (Procesos Especializados en Metal).
- Electrical integration and control: advanced VFD configuration on crane #3 at the National Material plant in Hermosillo.
- Turnkey supply: supply, ground freight and complete installation of a 12-ton jib crane for Procesos Especializados en Metal.
Result
By consolidating their lifting needs with MECSOL, these plants kept their buildings running and their critical loads protected. Plumbing and leveling done right prevented the uneven structural wear that shows up later, and preventive work and configuration were carried out without cutting into production. Today our customers run their lifting infrastructure knowing one technical partner answers for the precision and the uptime of the whole crane life cycle.
