Stamping press and heavy machinery installation and relocation — MECSOL
MECSOL International · Divisions · Millwright Services

We relocate and install heavy machinery — and hand it back running.

One technical lead from the origin plant until your line is producing again. Dismantling, transport, installation, precision leveling, electrical reconnection and commissioning — in Mexico and on cross-border projects.

The division

Precision where others
just move weight.

MECSOL is a millwright contractor specializing in heavy industrial machinery: 22 years setting, relocating and leveling stamping lines for the Tier 1 automotive chain. We land, position and level presses of several hundred tons to within thousandths of an inch — then reconnect them electrically and pneumatically until the machine is making parts.

We coordinate crane, forklift and a certified crew so your plant starts on schedule and stays running.

What we install

Equipment we install.

We install, relocate and level heavy machinery for industry in Mexico and the United States: stamping presses, complete production lines, injection molding machines and imported equipment. The hand-off is always the same: machine leveled, connected and producing.

3,000-ton Schuler stamping press — MECSOL project in Glasgow, Kentucky

Stamping presses

Installation and leveling of presses in the hundreds of tons, anchored to print. We have handled the electrical disconnection and reconnection of presses up to 3,000 tons.

Complete production line installed by MECSOL in an industrial building

Complete production lines

Disconnection, transport and installation of entire production lines, with documented tagging so every component goes back exactly where it belongs.

180-ton injection molding machine moved by forklift — Phillips plant, Apodaca

Injection molding machines

Unloading, positioning and precision leveling of injection molding machines. We set a 180-ton machine in Apodaca in three days.

Uncrating and rigging of imported machinery at the dock — MECSOL

Imported machinery

Uncrating, removal from the container, positioning, hook-up and start-up of imported equipment — from the container to its final position.

Colgar press brake installed by MECSOL

Press brakes and forming equipment

Complete electromechanical installation: rigging, leveling, panels and final electrical hook-up, ready to energize.

Press component loaded onto a lowboy with a hydraulic gantry — MECSOL

Heavy rigging

Unloading, in-plant layout moves and lifts with crane, high-capacity forklifts and rigging, handled by a certified crew.

Projects delivered

Electrical disconnection of two Schuler presses, 1,500 and 3,000 tons, in Glasgow, Kentucky, and reconnection in Monclova. Relocation of ABB's stamping and machining line from Tennessee to Ramos Arizpe, with 500-ton Danly and 600-ton Rovetta presses. Disconnection and shipment of two Carrier production lines in two weeks, in Collierville, Tennessee. Installation of a 180-ton injection molding machine at the Phillips plant in Apodaca in three days. Complete electromechanical installation of Colgar Tandem press brakes: rigging, leveling and panels. Several of these projects were executed together with International Rigging Company and AMISA Group.

What we do

Millwright services.

01

Machinery installation

Presses, stamping lines and heavy machinery — positioned and anchored to print.

02

Line relocation

Moving complete lines between plants or countries, with no more downtime than the job requires.

03

Precision leveling

Leveling to within thousandths of an inch, to protect both machine life and part quality.

04

Electrical reconnection

Electrical and pneumatic reconnection — panels, drives and controls — until the machine is ready.

05

Commissioning

Start-up, testing and fine-tuning. We hand over a machine that is producing, not just installed.

06

Crane work

Coordination of crane, forklift and rigging for unloading and heavy lifts.

How we work

How we run an installation.

Every project follows a documented sequence so the machine starts on the first try.

1. Tagging and disconnection at the origin plant

Every circuit, junction box and coupling point is tagged and photographed before anything is disconnected. In Glasgow, Kentucky, tagging the two Schuler presses produced a technical file of more than a thousand images — the basis for the reconnection in Monclova.

2. Rigging, positioning and anchoring

The lift is planned on the building layout: travel paths, crane and forklift capacities, and the machine's bearing points. The equipment is set in its final position and anchored to print.

3. Precision leveling

Leveling with machinist's levels reading 0.0005 in. per foot, documented. A machine that is out of level vibrates, wears unevenly and runs parts out of spec. Leveling tolerances are set by the equipment spec.

4. Reconnection, start-up and testing

Electrical and pneumatic reconnection following the origin tagging — panels, drives and controls — then energizing, start-up and fine-tuning.

Formal backing

Rigging, mechanical and electrical under one contract and one technical lead, with full compliance:

  • REPSE — current registration with STPS, Mexico's federal labor authority, for specialized services.
  • DC-3 — crews with certified safety training on record.
  • General liability insurance — in force on every lift.
  • USMCA — cross-border operation: projects executed in both the United States and Mexico.
  • Documented traceability — tagging, technical photo file and test reports on every hand-off.
